In the natural gas heating process, cylinder-type heater using water as an intermediate medium is most extensively used. The heat exchange rate between and fire tubes in great-capacity cylinder appears to be important element affecting a heater’s thermal efficiency. flow field within new diversion-type with vertical guide plate design described this paper. contrast prior research that concentrated on convection transfer water, radiation impact included. discrete-ordinate model was utilized build 2-D combined participating model, which solved finite volume technique unstructured body-fitted grids. First, experimental data were used validate numerical model. coupled fields plates of various heights then analyzed. findings reveal utilizing structure, proportion total reaches 25.1%, indicating cannot ignored. structure might help create well-organized pattern cylinder, would improve while having no influence radiation. Installing height 550 mm thickness 5 can lower overall convective tube bundle by 2.04%. China, has been given patent.
